Official-ism: The Chinese Historical Model and its Evolution, Wu Si (中文)

FreeJoin us October 25, 4:30-5:30pm at the Woodrow Wilson Center for what is bound to be a stimulating conversation with one of China’s leading intellectuals, Wu Si 吴思 . Wu Si is the chairman of the Unirule Institute of Economics. He is the former executive-president and chief editor of 炎黄春秋 and the author of the highly influential history books Hidden Rules 潜规则 and The Principle of Blood Payment 血酬定律.
Wu Si will be speaking about the idea of 官家主义, officialism, how it has been an important concept in China’s historical development, and how it continues to impact China today.
The event will be held at 4:30pm sharp in the 4th floor conference room at the Wilson Center, co-hosted by the Kissinger Institute on China and the United States. Please make an effort to arrive at least 10 minutes in advance. This event is in Chinese with no interpretation.
About Wu Si
Wu Si is the chairman of the Unirule Institute of Economics. He is the former executive-president and chief editor of 炎黄春秋 and the author of the highly influential history books Hidden Rules 潜规则 and The Principle of Blood Payment 血酬定律. Born in 1957 in Beijing, Wu Si graduated from Renmin University in 1982 with a degree in Chinese. He was then a journalist and editor with the Farmer’s Daily 农民日报 for 10 years.
