Analyzing China Under Xi Jinping — Dr. Arthur Ding (中文)

September 13, 2016 @ 17:30 - 18:30

Free

[please note the topic change from the original announcement]

Join us this Tuesday evening, Sept. 13, from 5:30-6:30pm at the Center for Strategic and International Studies for an exciting lecture (in Chinese, of course!) by one of Taiwan’s leading experts on Chinese politics and foreign policy, Dr. Arthur Ding. Dr. Ding is the Director and Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of International Relations (IIR), National Chengchi University, Taipei. Dr. Ding will be speaking about “Analyzing China Under Xi Jinping.” It is important for American China analysts to learn about how experts from elsewhere look at China. What sorts of frameworks and sources do they use? How do their assumptions and conclusions differ from ours? Dr. Ding will present his views on Chinese politics under Xi Jinping, giving us a chance to think about both the substance and methods of analyzing Xi’s China.
Join us for what will surely be an informative lecture and lively discussion! RSVP at the bottom of this page.
